Stories of children living with type 1 diabetes

Morgan, diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 9
Paducha, Kentucky, USA

Morgan's mother wrote to Islets of Hope via the QD Quilts for Children with Diabetes program. She is very proud of her daughter and committed to her care.

Morgan is a 9-year-old girl learning to deal with diabetes.  She checks her sugar around 5-7 times and takes four shots a day.  She has been very brave and has tried to stay positive.  It always helps when she meets or finds out about other children that also have diabetes and how they are coping with everything because so many times at school and church she is the only one with diabetes.

MG, Paducah, KY
